Challenge
To drive brand awareness and buyer interest in Civic’s ICO (Initial Coin Offering) in a highly saturated ICO market with multiple blockchain brands announcing token sales daily, Spark was also tasked with differentiating Civic to rise above the noise.
Approach
Spark leveraged Consensus 2017 conference to announce the ICO and engage the blockchain & crypto community. The team promoted Civic’s industry-first token sale structure to help position Civic as an innovative thought leader. On the media front, Spark reached out to influential trade and business press to illustrate Civic’s unique value proposition. Spark also leveraged the successful track record of Civic CEO Vinny Lingham, a well-known figure within the blockchain space, serial entrepreneur and one of the stars of South Africa’s Shark Tank.
Results
The token sale was incredibly successful, raising $33M and securing the interest of multiple partners to help crow Civic’s ecosystem of identity verification.
