As a Senior Account Director, Patrick is an experienced media strategist who helped drive the growth of an ETF platform from a startup to a standalone $5B business with strong market recognition. In this role, he also secured over 250 media placements (including Barron's, Financial Times, New York Times, Wall Street Journal, CNBC and Bloomberg, among others)
Patrick fell in love with public relations early on in his career. "This is my twenty-third year in public relations and six months in, I knew I was hooked once I came to the realization that I could get paid to read the newspaper, come up with ideas, and call people on the phone and try to make them like me!"
Patrick pairs extensive financial markets expertise with trusted reporter relationships to help expand client interest. Working across disciplines, he enhances and manages reputational risk, meets strategic business goals and strengthens overall brand equity for multinational financial organizations.
Patrick is no stranger to building transformational, high-performing teams, solutions and structures. One of his favorite client experiences was working with reporters to find the right story for a hedge fund that was having trouble continuing to grow its AUM. After Patrick landed the firm a story in Bloomberg, the PM called him, giddy with the number of leads that were pouring in.
"I'm a news junky,” Patrick says. “I like the creative process of idea generation for clients and building relationships with reporters. There's strategizing and helping clients solve problems, the competitive aspect of trying to win for them; I love all of it."
