Leadership Team

Donna Sokolsky, Co-founder and Senior Managing Director

As co-founder of Sparkpr, Donna has deeply rooted connections within the influencer community and is a trusted peer, resource and counselor to some of the most powerful executives, venture capitalists and journalists in the country. Over the past two decades, Donna has worked in both corporate and agency communications positions with major technology companies including IBM, Netscape, and Barclays Bank as well as with many of the hottest Internet start-ups in the industry including Mozilla.org, Tellme, and FON. She has directed hundreds of company and product launches and led major branding campaigns for a variety of large and small companies worldwide. Donna has built Sparkpr into one of the fastest growing communications agencies in the United States. Donna is responsible for creating new and innovative service offerings, providing ongoing strategic counsel to Sparkpr’s clients, strategic media relations and new business development.

Alan Soucy, Chief Executive Officer

Alan Soucy is a proven business leader and Silicon Valley veteran, bringing over 20 years of experience at companies including Philips Electronics, where he was responsible for establishing Philips’ Mobile Computing Group. Alan has also been involved in building a number of innovative technology companies, including MTI MicroFuel Cells and Tripath Technologies. Alan’s consumer technology background is complemented by his passion for spotting new market trends and business opportunities. As a former client of Sparkpr’s, and a client of other leading PR agencies both domestically and internationally, Alan brings a unique voice-of-the-customer perspective in driving Sparkpr’s direction. Alan’s responsibilities include overall agency management and leadership, strategic planning and global initiatives. His mission at Sparkpr is to ensure that the agency delivers exceptional service and concrete results to its clients everyday.

Rebecca Fuller, Senior Managing Director, Emerging Technology Practice

Rebecca Fuller has nearly two decades of corporate and agency public relations experience working with both cutting edge start-ups and Fortune 500 technology companies including Symantec, Intuit, HP, Openwave, Sun Microsystems and Seiko. At Spark, Rebecca oversees the agency’s Emerging Technology Practice, focusing on innovators in the mobile, VoIP and open source product markets. Rebecca has taken several emerging companies, including Flickr and SpikeSource, from launch to leadership positions. She advises numerous companies on how to create better market mindshare and is an expert at formulating effective communications strategies and targeted messaging.

Diane Schreiber, Managing Director

Diane Schreiber brings an extensive array of knowledge, experience and skill in media relations, corporate communications, product launches, special events, and crisis communications to Sparkpr. She has more than 15 years of experience in the public relations industry, including six spent with Sparkpr. Diane is Sparkpr’s resident media maven and she has developed deep relationships with many influential journalists who consider her as their one-stop resource for experts, trends and story ideas. Since joining Sparkpr, Diane has contributed to almost every Sparkpr client program and has worked on campaigns for Digeo, Mozilla.org, and There. Previously, Diane worked at Jupiter Research and over the course of her exceptional career has orchestrated public relations programs for a number of Fortune 500 companies including American Airlines, Ingersoll-Rand, HP, Minolta, Texaco and Warner-Lambert.

Tim Turpin, Managing Director, Venture Capital and Financial Services Practice

Tim has worked in technology PR for 15 years, and has deep expertise in working with venture capital firms, as well as companies in clean tech, enterprise software and search. Prior to joining Spark, Tim spent more than seven years at OutCast Communications, where he worked with venture capital firms including Foundation Capital and Khosla Ventures, and startups like blinkx and Metaweb Technologies. Over the course of his career, Tim has worked with a range of venture capital firms and companies including Ariba, Azure Capital Partners, Borland, Clearstone Venture Partners, Micron PC, Motive, NetGravity, Novazone, Symantec, Works.com and Vignette. Before joining OutCast, Tim spent four years at Blanc & Otus Public Relations.

Syreeta Mussante, Senior Director, Connected Technologies Practice

For nearly 15 years, Syreeta has been offering strategic public relations counsel and execution to technology companies in the enterprise software, wireless, networking and consumer electronics space, including Ariba Inc., Alien Technology, Dash Navigation, Fujitsu Computer Products of America (FCPA), HP, MySpace, NEC Corporation of America and Sony PlayStation Portable. At Spark, Syreeta oversees the Connected Technologies Practice which straddles the consumer/enterprise fence, encompassing consumer electronics, hardware and connected web technologies. Syreeta has a talent for infusing technology with the “cool factor”, resulting in meaningful media results and driving adoption. She advises both major global corporations and scrappy start-ups on how to leverage communications to meet critical business objectives.

Rachel Bremer, Senior Director

Rachel Bremer oversees Sparkpr’s European operations based out of London. As the agency’s senior leader in Europe, Rachel is responsible for steadily growing Sparkpr’s client base and service offerings, extending the agency’s global footprint and ensuring that the offices share the same cultural and service philosophy. She currently represents London-based technology startups MOO and MyHeritage, one of Europe’s leading venture capital firms, Index Ventures, and Seedcamp, an initiative started by Saul Klein to help develop the entrepreneurial community in Europe. Rachel has been an instrumental member of the Sparkpr team since 2002 and has helped fuel the company’s rise from a small start-up to one of the fastest growing technology PR firms in the industry. Rachel’s background spans the spectrum of strategic public relations services, including media relations, messaging, marketing, event planning, and crisis communications and she has directed a number of high profile public relations campaigns for companies including Skype, NVIDIA, viagogo, Blue Nile and the venture capital firm Advanced Technology Ventures (ATV).
